SDK Reference

Programmatic access to MCP Nexus: REST API, Python / Node.js SDKs and auth

1. Install the SDK

Official Python and Node.js SDKs support both sync and async invocation. You can also hit the REST API directly.

pip install mcp-nexus-sdk
# or
npm install @mcpnexus/sdk

2. Authentication

Every request must include an API key in the Authorization header: Bearer <your-key>. Generate keys in your profile and inject via environment variables — never hardcode.

/api/v1/skills

List available skills (filter by category, tier, etc.)

Fetch a single skill's metadata and parameter schema

Execute a skill (returns sync result or async task_id)

Current account usage, quota and billing period

5. Error Codes

  • 401 — Unauthorized: missing or invalid API key
  • 402 — Payment Required: your plan tier is insufficient for this skill
  • 429 — Rate Limited: quota exceeded — wait or upgrade your plan
  • 500 — Server Error: retry or contact support@mcp-nexus.online
